I've uploaded photos from last month showing Melanie having lunch with her assistant and manager on February 19th and of Mel's boyfriend Tom leaving Portland Hospital in London on February 27th. Special thanks to the "MC Picture Pope" Dennis "Mcrulesme" and Andrea from Romania.

According to the Spanish magazine Hola Melanie is already at home with her baby girl Scarlet. Hola reports that Mel has announced to take a break from musical career to take care of her child.
The article also features photos of Emma Bunton and Scarlet's father Thomas Starr (carrying Scarlet's pram) visiting Mel while she was in hospital. Thanks to Andrea.

Pop star MELANIE CHISHOLM is reportedly planning a career hiatus so that she can focus on raising her newborn daughter.
The former Spice Girl welcomed her first baby Scarlet Starr on Sunday (22Feb09).
The singer continued to perform even when heavily pregnant - but now she is putting aside her singing to concentrate on her child.
A source tells Britain's Daily Mirrror, "Her priority at the moment is Scarlet - her music will have to take a backseat for a while."

We have the information that Melanie has given birth to a baby girl yesterday. Neither Mel nor her managment have made a statement yet. The info comes from Facebook comments of Mel's family members.

Michael Jackson and Paul McCartney helped a music teacher to inspire this Spice Girl

I was a good girl at school. I was never a troublemaker; I liked to keep my head down and get on with my work. There were too many after-school activities and I would rather just get through the day and then do things such as netball, drama and hockey. I did something every night after school, and on Saturday I danced and went to a gymnastic club so I was out all day.

I went to Fairfield High School in Widnes. It always had great sports facilities, although I think there have been a lot of improvements since I was there, and there was a drama studio. The arts and sports were strong, and that is why I enjoyed it.

Melanie Chisholm, 35, had nine number one singles and two number one albums with the Spice Girls and two number one singles as a solo artist. She is appearing as a guest presenter on 'Bookaboo', a new storytelling programme, on CITV on March 17. She was talking to Nick Morrison.
