Melanie C seems to have taken to motherhood like a duck to water since having baby Scarlet.

"I'm taking time off - it's been four months and this is my first night out!" she tells me at Hard Rock Calling in London's Hyde Park where we watched Bruce Springsteen.

Her album next year won't be about gooey baby stuff though. "I'm a rock girl," she says. "It'll be big rock numbers!"

Former Spice Girl Melanie Chisholm was forced to leave Bruce Springsteen's London gig early at the weekend (27/28Jun09) - because she couldn't stop worrying about her baby daughter.
The singer gave herself a rare night off from looking after four month old Scarlet to attend Springsteen's Hard Rock Calling gig on Sunday (28Jun09).
But Chisholm left part way through The Boss' set to go home and see the tot.
She says, "I can't really enjoy myself as I can't stop worrying about Scarlet."

Melanie is very pleased to be involved with a unique celebration in aid of the PRS for Music Members Benevolent Fund.

She will perform at a concert at the Royal Albert Hall on Sunday October 25th with Bill Wyman's Rhythm Kings and some very special guests.

The concert is to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the Fund, set up to support musicians, songwriters, composers and their dependents in times of need, wherever they are, by awarding grants or loans.

Melanie performed in aid of the Caron Keating Foundation as part of Pinktober at the Hard Rock Cafe in Manchester in October last year. Armed with just three camcorders, a network of talented fans have created this impressive DVD that perfectly encapsulates the atmosphere of a very special and intimate evening.

Besides the 75 minute concert, the DVD will also include two exclusive, previously unheard demo tracks from the lady herself, photo galleries, the This Time EPK and a little surprise!

Yesterday ITV1 broadcasted the first episode of the TV-documentary "The Truth About Super Skinny Pregnancies" with Louise Redknapp. This episode featured also Melanie, when she was 5 months pregnant, talking to Louise about pregnancy.
