"Melanie C is one of the most popular pop stars which Great Britain
has produced over the last 10 years. She initially broke through as a
member of girl band-phenomenon Spice Girls, but after their break-up
Mel C embarked upon a successful career as a solo artist. Her ensuing
resumé boasts 3 million sold albums, six top-ten hits in Britain and
she has managed to stay on the British charts for over 200 weeks
combined.
Melanie C´s solo efforts have spawned tremendously popular hits
such as “I Turn to You”, “Northern Star” and “Never be the Same Again.”
Furthermore, she has co-written 11 number one hits in England, as well
as being the only female to have topped the British charts both as a
solo artist and as a member of a group. Girl power indeed!
“We welcome Melanie C to the Summer Festival. With her name among
the line-up, this year´s Summer Festival promises to be as exciting as
previous festivals”, says Steintór Rasmussen, one of the promoters of
the Summer Festival.
Melanie C is looking forward to delivering the goods at the Summer
Festival where she plans to perform all our her biggest hits from her
fantastic solo career."
Taken from SummarFestivalur.fo. Melanie is scheduled to perform at this festival tomorrow.
